Abstract
It is important to separate different non-conventional therapies and medicines following their epistemic, experimental and clinical basis. This is absolutely needed to guarantee transparency and information to the citizen. The citizen has to be able to know which kind of treatment is affording. The legislator has to guarantee this to the citizen. LUIMO proposes to separate non-conventional disciplines in 4 classes: manual therapies that do not use medicines, therapies that use non conventional medicines, medical systems that have their own pharmacopoeia, and medical systems that have their own pharmacopoeia and experimentation. Homeopathy belongs to this last class of disciplines.
It is necessary to recognize, by a Government Commission, well-known private schools that have provided teaching in Homeopathy. The recognition criteria have to be: schools need at least 10 years of experience and a stable group of teachers having a coherent homeopathic profile of theory and practice (10 years), longer training paths. Later, the firstly recognized institutes have to create a National Council able to orient the government Commission towards the training program, and to present to the Commission new institutes and schools for recognition. At the present moment, University needs to increase its knowledge and experience in Homeopathy. The interplay between private institutes and University will assure in the future the best educational training path to give the best patient service.
